Backyard storage or a great workshop...
Not a pole building, the Ravenna is built with 2x4 framing 16" o.c. wall construction. This allows you to insulate and, if desired, finish the interior with drywall or panelling. Available in 16ft. x 28ft. or 16ft. x 32ft. sizes the Ravenna provides two floors of unobstructed storage. Our unique 2x6 truss design provides and open span with headroom of 7ft. 1in. at center. Plenty of room for additional storage, workspace, office, etc. Access to the upper floor is provided by the included 'L' shaped stair kit which can be positioned in either back wall corner. Four insulated windows with shutters are included but you may choose to purchase additional windows to install during construction. The gable ends can have a rough in on each end if you want more windows on the 2nd floor. Additonal windows are purchased separately from your local home center. The carriage style barn doors are 8ft. wide by 7ft. high and open outward for unabstructed access to the interior. Transom windows allow for light and add an attractive element to the Ravenna storage building. General
Assembly Steps
| Walls are shipped K.D. (knocked down) field assembly required. The wall studs are pre-cut and spaced 16" on center. Exterior siding is LP (Louisiana Pacific) primed siding. Learn more - click on siding tab above. |

2x6 roof trusses and gable ends are shipped pre-cut for precise field assembly. Engineered to withstand high wind loads of 130 mph 3 second gust and heavy snow loads of 45 lbs. psf. Trusses provide clear span with a generous 7ft. 1in. headroom in the center. |

Siding
Primed 3/8" wood siding, with vertical grooves, creates an attractive plank look.
Smart Panel, manufactured by Lousiana-Pacific, creates the visual beauty of real wood with the strength and durability of an engineered product.
The siding is made from wood strands, pressed into a resin saturated substrate, superior to plywood. A cedar texture is embossed into the substrate, free from knot holes and patches. Other features include:
- Primed, ready for paint color of your choice. Latex acrylic paint recommended.
- Treated with Composibor (from U.S. Borax) prevents fungal decay and insect damage.
- Backed with a 50 year limited warranty.
Construction
The Ravenna is designed for the Do-it-Yourself homeowner. Depending on your needs additonal windows and entryways can be installed during construction. These items are purchased separately from a local home center.
Our display model took 2-4 people approximately 10 days to construct. Time to build will vary depending on skill, effort and number of people. When working on the second floor it is highly recommended scaffolding is utilized for any exterior work.
Windows
(4) Four single hung insulated windows with screens & raised panel shutters are included. Shutters can be painted to the color of your choice (paint not included). The dormer windows are 32in. x 36in. and the lower windows are 36in. x 36in.

Doors
Carriage style barn doors are 8ft. wide x 7ft. high and include transom windows. All hardware to mount and secure are included.
Stairs
The stairs have been redesigned to now feature a fully enclosed stairwell. Pictures show a single enterior wall but now includes a second wall.
The included stairs are 'L' shaped and are designed so the landing in the second floor is exactly center of the building.
Images
The below pictures show an LVL beam supporting the loft floor. This has been removed and replaced by 2x10-16ft. long floor joists. This increased loft floor load ratings and meet current building code requirements.
